The following bullets describe our standard "end-to-end data cleansing process":

Full Provider Cleanup Process
  • All data will be normalized by running over 300 core utilities such as, parsing routines, key word search and replace, eliminating punctuation, bad characters, address verification on every record, attaching a BLI key onto each provider record.
  • BLI will inactivate or lock all duplicate providers. We do not delete providers due to claims history.
  • The duplicate provider PPO network information will be populated to the active provider to establish the one provider to many network affiliations.
  • Cross-reference and update specialty codes.
  • Cross-reference and update fee schedule names.
  • Cross-reference and update degrees/titles.
  • Verify and populate all claim system fields.
  • BLI will ensure that the provider/fee schedule relationship is properly setup.
  • BLI will supply client with a detailed listing of changes made from original data set.
  • BLI will supply additional reports that contain duplicate providers, and transposed TINs.
